All Nations Will Worship You

This painting was created with great reverence, to honor God and illustrate Revelation 7:9-12, which is a depiction of when all nations will gather in heaven to exalt and praise God. I began the creative process with prayer, worship, reading, and studying the vivid descriptions of Heaven in the book of Revelation. The main streets are paved with pure gold, there are gates made from pearls, the light is bright white and continuous; as there is no night there. The Glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its’ light. There is a river that contains the water of life that flows on either side of the main street (Rev 21:15-26 and 22:1). The crowd is dressed in white. I carefully chose and mixed the seven colors I selected from these descriptions. Pure Matte White, Sapphire Blue, Turquoise/Aqua, Metallic Gold, Pearl White, Sky Blue, and Iridescent Gold. The biblical passage is inscribed in calligraphy on the back of the 48” x 60”canvas:

9 After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language,

standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.

They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands.

10 And they were shouting with a great roar,

“Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne

    and from the Lamb!”

11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings.

And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God.

12 They sang,

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom

    and thanksgiving and honor

and power and strength belong to our God

    forever and ever! Amen.”
